Sixth Letter: 14th October 2025

Dear Leo,

Last week I shared a link to these letters on my Instagram. I wanted people to know that while they’re written for you, the words often speak to all of us, parents, soon-to-be parents, or anyone navigating life and trying to make sense of who they’re becoming.

I took my time explaining how I hope these letters are received: not as “content,” but as connection. A small corner of the internet where honesty lives, where stories breathe, and where people feel seen. And it seems that message landed. Within the first five minutes, over 500 people had subscribed.

Why does that mean so much to me? Because it feels like another sign that I’m finally finding my rhythm, writing from the heart, capturing family moments through my lens, and opening up conversations that reach beyond our home. Whether it’s me and your mumma on the podcast, or strangers who become friends through shared experiences, it all feels part of the same thread: growth, love, and truth.

This is the sixth letter I’ve written to you, and somehow through them, we’ve already started to build a small community. People from all over who care enough to read about a dad and his little boy. From here, the letters will stay the same in spirit: short, simple, honest. The only change is that I’ll start inviting people to write back. Because I want these letters to spark something, reflections, memories, maybe even their own notes to loved ones. In fact, I’ve already received a few emails from parents telling me that they are going to start writing letters to their children also. How wonderful is that!

Here’s a promise: when we reach 5,000 subscribers, you and I will celebrate in a way you choose. It will likely be an ice cream, and if I’m right on that, we can have 5 each to really savour the moment! It’s not about stats and numbers, but it is about connection. It’s about connecting with people and building a space that feels familiar and real, that’s what makes us human and the world needs meaningful connection.

Always,
Daddy

More reflections from me next week…

If this letter resonated with you, forward it to someone in your world who might need to read this.

Until the next letter 🙂
